The context
Why the work mattered.
Following the sale of Asda by Walmart, the Future programme was established to separate the retailer’s IT and create a new operating model and underlying infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. PwC brought in AI Digital to add hands-on enterprise architecture capability.
The challenge

The extended architecture leadership team required an experienced enterprise architect to shape the integration landscape, platforms and patterns.
The separation had to account for SaaS applications, legacy systems, on-premise technology, cloud data applications, OS-based agents and critical retail and supply-chain operations.
