AI Digital is looking for a talented and confident New Business Manager to play a pivotal role in the continued growth of AI Digital. This is a new position and as such we are looking for an individual who will lead from the front and set the standard for future sales performance.
You will serve as a collaborative partner within the AI Digital and be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and stimulating new lead generation. Leveraging technology and a systematic process, you will work collaboratively with the Head of AI Digital and the Marketing & Communications Manager, researching targeted organisations, identifying decision-makers/influencers and engaging prospects in conversations designed to uncover sales opportunities. You will be responsible for initiating contacts with targeted new clients and facilitate the process through to sales closure.
AI Digital has quickly built a strong reputation and growing customer base due to our approach and commitment to project delivery. You will join a fast-growing team, currently 21-strong, based across the UK with a strong spirit of collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of business development/sales experience – preferably in the professional services/consultancy industry – with great written and verbal communication skills. You must possess the ability to learn quickly, be a team player and highly motivated to achieve set targets.
AI Digital Group helps its clients to deliver complex and business critical technical and transformation projects and organisational change programmes. We provide highly experience project managers, specialist technical resources and subject matter experts. Working in partnership, we help with the heavy lifting involved in delivering these programmes, reducing the risk of failure and minimising any impact on day-to-day operations.
Working alongside the Head of AI Digital and Marketing & Communications Manager, you will be responsible for generating and promoting new business for AI Digital. You will carry out research on potential leads and update and maintain records, in order to find out how we can meet the changing needs of the markets. You will take ownership of generating new leads. In addition, you will convert leads into qualified appointments through to closure. Using your natural communication skills, you’ll make the initial contact with prospective customers, understand their needs and explain the value/benefits of our services.
- Develop detailed, strategic new business plans to maximise revenue
- Lead in the development and presentation of compelling sales proposals
- Drive pipeline growth by following up on marketing campaigns and leads
- Assist with drafting sales prospecting plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and generate leads
- Researching organisations, individuals and events to find new opportunities
- Finding and developing new markets and ways to contact prospects.
- Identify potential decision makers within a business and find ways to contact them.
- Understand businesses pain points & issues and be able to explain how these can be overcome
- Gain and maintain relationship with referrers and consultants to gain new business from their client base
- To act as an ambassador for the business, and promote our service
- Manage and maintain the company CRM system, inputting all sales activity and client details in an accurate and timely manner
- Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers.
- Conduct market research and identify prospective clients
- Drive pipeline growth by following up on marketing campaigns and leads
- Leverage insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers about their industry and offer unique perspectives on their business that lead them to further discussions with AI Digital
- Collaborate with business’ senior management team to ensure consistent messaging to customers
It is expected that this role will require the successful candidate to spend 2 days working on setting up and preparing for calls and meetings, with the remaining 3 days a week in meetings with prospective clients.
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 plus unlimited OTE plus a wide benefits package

Location: Remote/Hybrid working. Anticipated that 1-2 days a month may be required to work in the Lincoln office.
Essential
- 3+ years’ experience in new business/sales
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
